The show is based on a Mexican soap opera, with all the manic twists and turns you’d expect. But for Nick at Nite, the biggest cliffhanger may be whether or not a drama that airs every weeknight can garner the same sort of following that hits such as “iCarly” and “Big Time Rush” pulled in for Nickelodeon.

It may be difficult, not the least because “Hollywood Heights” is aimed at an older audience — Loren is 18, for instance, and her love interest is 21.

But Underwood, too, is older than the tween-age stars that populate Nick and Disney — she’s turning 24 tomorrow. And this age difference seems to have made her a bit humbler, a bit savvier, than those kid superstars. This is a woman, after all, who simultaneously acted as rebellious orphan Langston on “One Life to Live” while studying full time at Manhattanville College.

“There were days and weeks at a time when I would go to the library, study for 13 hours, go to work, go out, go to class, go back to the library and study again,” she says. In other words: She’s tough.

Monday
Chloe convinces Eddie that the incriminating photo is a fake. Adriana and Phil plant evidence in Loren’s locker.

Tuesday
Eddie plans a new surprise for Chloe. Loren is suspended from school unless she can prove her own innocence right away.

Wednesday
Chloe tells Eddie that Tyler’s been stalking her to explain the photo. Loren is proven innocent at school but doesn’t make the contest’s top five.

Thursday
After Loren’s eliminated from the contest, Nora’s boss Don helps her get the song to Max in an attempt at a second chance. Chloe finally gets what she wants.

Friday
Nora gets Max to listen to Loren’s song. Max shares it with Eddie and Loren just may make it back into the contest!
